We are a privately owned childcare facility based within the grounds of North Petherton Community Primary School. We are open from 7.30am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday for 51 weeks of the year and care for children from 9 months to 11 years of age. We are closed for 1 week at Christmas as well as all Bank Holidays. We also provide a Breakfast and After School Club for children attending the school.

Our setting has 3 classrooms – Nursery, Toddlers and Pre-School – each having their own Quiet/Rest / Sensory rooms/areas and fully equipped gardens, as well as a dedicated Forest School section and Outdoor Sensory Area

Our in-house catering ensures children receive healthy, nutritious and balanced meals – delivered fresh daily and where all dietary needs are catered for.

We aim to provide a welcoming ‘home from home’ environment where children feel happy, cherished and safe in their environment – allowing them to become confident, respected, independent individuals.

We want children to feel safe, happy and relaxed here, where they can explore, learn, discover and play freely. Where they are celebrated for being unique individuals, and their thoughts, ideas and feelings are valued. We believe ‘play’ is vital to their learning and development, as well as their social and emotional confidence.

We have an amazing team of qualified and experienced staff (along with dedicated early years support workers) who work hard to ensure the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Safeguarding and Welfare requirements are strictly adhered to – and that ‘Best Practice’ procedures run through all areas of our care

Our robust Key Worker and Buddy system allows trusting relationships to be built and where individual, tailored Care Plans and Learning Journeys are devised (we use Tapestry on-line learning journals, where Parents have full access – allowing them to input their own information).Parents are fully involved in their child’s development progression through regular Information Sharing forms, End of Term Reports, Stay & Play Sessions and Requested Parents Meetings

Since opening in 2005 we have consistently received ‘Good’ Inspection reports from Ofsted as well as 5 Stars from Environmental Health (food safety & hygiene)Our setting allows Parents/Carers to access the Early Years Entitlement for 2, 3 & 4 years olds – as well as the ability for payment of fees through various vouchers schemes.
